Crock’oas (Crock Pot Tacos)

Ingredients:

 

4-5lb Pork Picnic Roast

2 Packets Old El Paso Taco Seasoning Mix

1 tsp Cathy's Ground Cumin

1/2 cup Chunky Medium Salsa

1 Turkey Size Cooking Bag

 

Turn Crock Pot on High

1.    Clean/rinse Pork Roast

2.    Trim access fat off Pork Roast

3.    Mix taco seasoning and ground cumin together in small bowl

4.    Rub Seasoning on Roast

5.    Place Roast inside Turkey bag

6.    Pour remaining seasoning into bag

7.    Pour salsa in bag

8.    Close bag and place lid onto crock pot

9.    Let cook for 6 hours until tender, or until meat is falling away from the bone

10.  When roast is ready, remove the bone and remove any excess fat.

11.  Shred pork roast apart with fork

12.  Pour taco meat into serving bowl

13.  Serve pork tacos on your favorite taco shell or tortillas

14.  Warm tortillas and add meat to tortillas

15.  Layer with toppings (cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and jalapeño peppers)

 

Tip for sour cream:

 

Place ¼ cup of sour cream in sandwich bag and squeeze to one corner

Cut small hole at the tip of the bag and squeeze onto tortilla or taco shell
